ZGF Architects is a large firm with locations across the country, but is based in Portland. ZGF received a contract for over one hundred million dollars to design a consolidated campus for DHS in Washington DC, which includes housing for both ICE and CBP offices.
The managing partner of ZGF, responsible for overseeing nationwide operations, is Sharron van der Meulen. Her husband Peter is vocally anti-Trump and anti-ICE on his Facebook page, and has been attending local No Kings protests. Does he not know that his wife is overseeing a major infrastructure project for DHS, or does he conveniently ignore this fact? We don’t know — you’ll have to ask him.
